For much of my life as a Canadian singer-songwriter, across my solo work and my projects including Stone Poets and Peacenik Collective, I have used music to promote peace, love, connection and dialogue.
That purpose inspired my new single, written with my friends Colin Weinmaster and Daryl Burgess,  “Love’s Gotta Get Louder,” a song born from the idea that division, intolerance and anger are really loud - especially in these challenging times, so love has to get LOUDER!

From that song idea came a larger storytelling concept.

"Love’s Gotta Get Louder" asks Canadians one question:

What are you doing to make love louder?

The project begins with my own story as a Canadian artist entering one of the most creatively active periods of my career, releasing a new album, Something Old, Something New, and continuing to use my music to bring people together, spark conversation, and spread a message of peace and love.

But the camera then turns outward.

I want to find and amplify Canadians whose stories deserve to be heard: people creating connection, kindness, understanding, healing and positive change in their communities. The hope is that by sharing these stories, inspiration ripples outward, one act sparking another, one voice encouraging another, as we all get to watch love get louder!

Love's Gotta Get Louder Community Challenge starts now.  Send me your videos, links, emails to laserbeammusic@gmail.com or WhatsApp 604-306-0632 by October 29th.  I want to hear how you're making love louder.  All entries received will be entered. 

The Love's Gotta Get Louder Community Challenge is open to all Canadians across the country.  This isn't a competition or contest. There are no best entries. Every story matters and the prize is simply a little thank you for being part of the Love's Gotta Get Louder community.

One participant will be selected at random and announced at my album release celebration on Friday October 30th.
